Every practice has a long list of patients who have not been in for their hygiene visit in far too long. Dental patient reactivation turns that list into booked appointments, because these patients already know you, already trust you and are simply overdue.
The trouble is that recall campaigns are manual. Someone has to pull a report, write messages, send them and keep track of who replied, and on a busy week it does not happen. So the recall list grows, patients drift to other practices or stop going altogether, and revenue that is already sitting in your own database goes unused.
How dental patient reactivation works
Overdue patients are found
Patients past their recall date are identified from your practice records, so nobody has to run a report by hand. You decide how overdue counts, for example six months or a year.
A personal invitation
Each patient gets a personal message inviting them back, written in your practice's voice, with a link to book a time that suits them.
A short follow-up sequence
If they do not book, a few gentle follow-ups go out over the following weeks, each a little different, rather than the same message repeated.
Booked patients drop out
As soon as a patient books, they are removed from the sequence automatically, so nobody is asked to book an appointment they already have.
What it connects to
It works from the patient records and online booking you already have, so the front desk does not take on another list to manage. Bookings appear in the same schedule as every other appointment.
Practice management software
Provides the recall dates and shows when a patient books.
SMS and email
Carries the invitations and the follow-ups.
Online booking
Lets patients choose a time straight from the message.

Questions
How do you find overdue patients?
From your practice management software, using each patient's last hygiene visit or recall date. You set the rules, such as how long since the last visit and which patients to leave out, for example those who have moved away or asked not to be contacted. The list updates itself, so newly overdue patients are picked up as time passes.
How many messages does each patient get?
Usually three or four over a few weeks, though you can choose fewer. Each message is short and friendly, and the sequence ends on its own if the patient does not respond, so nobody is contacted indefinitely.
Can patients opt out?
Yes. Every message includes a simple way to opt out, such as replying STOP to a text or clicking a link in an email, and opted-out patients are never contacted again by the sequence. Check the messaging rules that apply in your country as part of the setup.
Can we run special offers in the messages?
Yes, if you want to, such as a seasonal reminder or a note about new opening hours. Any offer is your choice and your wording, and it can be set to appear only for certain groups of patients.
